Time is Flying By

I can't believe it is almost Christmas! It seems like I should have more time to get prepared. Time has really gotten away from me lately. It seems like it has been that way for the past couple of years. I just stay so busy in everyday life that I lose track. I still don't have my decorations up at home. We will be putting the tree up later tonight and it will be the first time we have ever done that without Jenny being home with us. She has to stay in Oklahoma til the 23rd but told us to go ahead without her so it isn't so rushed when she gets here. I will save out some of the ornaments (especially her's specifically) for her to put on when she gets home. It still makes me sad though.

I always have good intentions to get accomplished all these extra things for the Lord at this time of year but never seem to be able to get to them, at least not all I intend----and I don't have a job right now! Shame on me! I am spending time looking and applying tho and am trying to get through my Anatomy & Physiology class. If I get through this chapter 4, I think the rest will be somewhat easier. They deal more with the systems of the body rather than all the stuff with cells. I was showing Bob some of the terms and facts and he agrees it is a difficult task. I have over 100 flashcards made up for this chapter and it will just take repetition of these to let it sink in cuz I sure don't grasp it fully! I grimice to think of trying to study the diagraming stuff.

I have decided not to send out Christmas cards this year - unless I find some lying around the house and don't have to go spend extra money on them. Also, 42 cents per piece of mail is kinda crazy with our current situation the way it is (I lost my job in September). I told Bob what I was doing and he asked me if I would not even send to the few in our church. Call me nuts, but I see them all the time. I love them but if I was going to send out cards it would be to those I never see anymore or to those I want to witness to with a tract or letter about salvation. It just seems like there are more important things to spend money on right now than cards. I will text many people on Christmas day and that will have to be good enough.

My head is spinning since the ladies meeting a couple weeks ago. I have decided on the name Kindred Hearts for the ladies group unless everyone hates it. I am getting started on the Cheer Booklets. I am going to be contacting the local hospital and nursing homes about scheduling when our ladies could visit and pass them out. We also have a booklet of the book of John and Romans together that we could pass out. They are even fairly large print that the elderly could possibly read. I figure we could go one Saturday a month to one of the places and visit with people and witness and hand out the Cheer Booklets. That way no one is too burdened down in time by this ministry and if we decide to, we can increase the time to more often.

I want to remind everyone that there could be no Easter without Christmas first. --No Cross without the Cradle! Show others the light of Christ this season.
